I was born in the USA but I lived in Jamaica most of my life. Even though I am an American, you would think I am Jamaican because of my accent. I often miss my home in Jamaica, where some of my friends and family are, even my vibrant self. But in this lovely city of Queens, it’s easy to find people like me who share the same culture and I think this is why this highlight spot is wonderful.
I love Jamaican food very much but I didn't realize it until I started living in America and longed for it. There are many restaurants here in Queens where you can get Jamaican and Caribbean food but for me the best would be Golden Krust . Why? Well, it’s because they have almost every Jamaican dish I can think of. Like: Ackee and Saltfish, Jerk Chicken, and Patties. Let’s not forget the sweet Bun and Cheese, Sorrel, and Ginger Beer. My family buys from the restaurant most times and every time I eat their food it brings back memories and gives me the island feeling. You can find their restaurant anywhere in Queens. So if you feel a longing for home or just want to try something new visit Golden Krust. Beware though, You might want to buy the entire store. The Main restaurant I use : Golden Krust 200-08 Linden Blvd, Queens, NY 11412
